I bought two boxes so I have a total of 12 lights. I had them for them 1 week before writing this review. Although the box says that they can have 8 hours of operating time, in reality all 12 lights didn't last 4 to 5 hours max (8pm to 2-3am). And yes they get plenty of direct sunlight during the day.

Lights have been in use about 2 weeks. Very easy installation and they are brighter than other solar path lights that I've seen. Very nice black finish Only con I can mention is the length of time they stay on. Time is not uniform from one light to the next even when receiving the same amount of sunlight. They stay lit about 2 1/2-4 hours but am still happy with them.

Everything I wanted . . . metal, not plastic; a yellow/white light, not LED-ish; casts a subtle light pattern, nothing fancy; super easy to assemble. Look great. Time will tell on lifespan, but I have high expectations.

The lights only stay on for about an hour. I bought new batteries that were very expensiveand had a longer charge life hoping that would make then stay on longer but it has not helped. I definitely don't recommend buying these.
